This is the final edition of SnapViews, the weekly report bringing you the latest industry news and notes of activity for monitored domain names. Effective this week, SnapNames will discontinue the SnapShot domain name monitoring service, a move that will make way for the new and more effective back-orderingand related services we discussed in our September communication.

If you are a SnapBack® subscriber, please note this will not affect your SnapBack service; SnapBack customers will continue to receive ongoing notification of changes to back-ordered domain names.

There are other service updates afoot: As we notified you in September, SnapNames is implementing changes that will bring you a new state-of-the-art back-ordering system for COM and NET names based on the central registry's wait-listing service (or WLS). In addition, we will soon announce back-order service availability for additional top-level domains, new functionality to our web site, and other services designed to help you secure important and valuable domain names. We think you'll be pleased with what you see.

I think they mean "we are trying to get WLS past Icann, in the mean time just keep buying Snaps !"
