Forget about the days of just being ripped off of your backorder and having it "replaced" with an "auction credit". Snapnames can't even be trusted with storing your credit card information anymore.
I got the email on December 15/05 "Congratulations.. you have aquired <domain name>".
One problem, I didn't backorder the domain name in question.
I emailed support the same day and they fired back a fairly quick response saying "You backordered this domain on Dec-12th 2005 at 1am, correct?" to which I answered "no, of course not". No response from them since then. That was the extent of help from snapnames support.
The domain in question is worthless, not even worth the reg fees and was a drop from some miscellaneous registrar, not even a NetSol or Register.com drop.
Obviously, I'd like to solve this without resorting to a chargeback as I am sure Snapnames has gained a great deal of experience in fighting chargebacks since ripping everyone off of their backorders in 2004.
Who should I be speaking with at Snapnames to resolve this?
