I have lost two auctions because of this.
gree-----d.com
pla----d.com

Will you restart auction for 05-07-2013 ?

Also very interesting thing.

dribble was bidding against me.
I placed highest bids on these domains and suddenly snapnames website became unavailable.
But few minutes later I received two emails - Your maximum bid for xxxxx.com has been exceeded.

So the main question is - How the hell dribble was able to bid on domains while your website was unavailable for all others ??? And it is still unavailable !

--- snapnames.com ping statistics ---
2054 packets transmitted, 352 packets received, 82.9% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 210.156/282.869/3117.522/286.722 ms

Does dribble bid on domain names from your local network ?

Because I don't understand how he was able to bid against me while your website was down for other world.
Here is stats from just-ping.com

I called to support. It was Dave (not native english speaker) as I understood .
He said that it is global issue.
Here is the case number 02255546 he created for me.

During down time I changed 4 internet providers.
I tried to use chrome, safari, firefox, omniweb and nothing worked.
I even tried iOS application for snapnames auctions but I wasn't able to place a bid anyway.

That's why I want these auctions to be extended or restarted .

I don't understand what's the problem to extend these auctions ?
The issue was on your side.
Because of this issue I wasn't able to place a bid on these domains.
I'm just asking you to extend these two auctions and nothing else.
It was a global issue.

Didn't win auctions because of this issue too ?

Pretty much lost out on 3 auctions today because the Snapnames app on my phone would not connect to their servers for last 3 hours of the auctions.

Pretty much lost out on 3 auctions today because the Snapnames app on my phone would not connect to their servers for last 3 hours of the auctions.

If you are talking about an application for iOS devices then yes , it will not work until they fix an issue with negative value in Order By column in Search Result and incomplete Buyers Dashboard page. I noticed that these two issues come up together and you will get third issue with iOS app as a "Authentication failed" . This issue started yesterday during last 10 minutes of auctions time. And these three in one issues are regular for about two months . They fix it every other day . But while you're getting "Authentication failed" in iOS app you still can log into and place a bid using your favorite browser.

But it is a little bit different situation.

Because I wasn't able to participate in my auctions on the 5th of July. The issue was on their side. Their server didn't respond.
The snapnames.com became unavailable globally from different locations from all over the world. You can see it in my first post in this thread 100% lost packets from different countries. It looks like they were under huge DDOS in the last 5-10 minutes of auctions time on the 5th of July. They didn't receive my bids because their auction platform was unavailable. And I wasn't able to place a bid using browser or iOS application. All my requests to the snapnames.com were timed out.

See. A little bit different issues but the same result. We lost domains because of their failure and they just don't care :)

By the way , on the 5th of July James gave me a call about the issue I described and he said that they cannot restart auctions but they can extend it and he will give me a call a little bit later again to let me know what they decided. Well , since then I didn't heard him :)

I am using andriod, but yes that was the issue...

Couple domains I wanted. But I way over paid for one the other day so it probably saved me another a** whipping from my wife anyhow.

i know the feeling lmao.... gf's (or wives) threatening to leave domainers for blowing too many bucks that had been saved for something else is something many here can relate to...
