Not sure if they are trying to go out of business or just don't care about their customers anymore. I have used and like snapnames, don't get me wrong. They have caught names and I have snaps there now.

Namewinner is beating them from my own personal experience.

They are killing their Snapshot service.

They drop their weekly emails to me every 4th time and refuse to fix it. Got this email reply from them

"Our Newsletter went out on Thursday and Friday of last week and should do so again this week. Emails do go missing in cyberspace. Our apologies that the emails we send to you do so with such frequency. Hopefully this weeks will arrive as expected."

Emails do go missing in cyberspace??? PLEASE, this is a legitimate reply from a company like snapnames?

Hey Snap...Namewinner and drop wizard are eating your lunch. I'll put in an order at Drop Wizard and double my bid on namewinner before I buy another Snapback.

Thanks for the memories. RIP

Snapnames is still doing good, I think that you shouldn't dog them but just give Namewinner credit. NW seemed to have really improved their system over the drop haitus. Doesn't mean Snapnames is bad, just means they have tougher competition now.

Wasn't until today that Snapnames finally got a name for me out of 5 snaps I had already pass and lost to other drop services.

I use Snap primarily.

And I take a flyer with Drop Wizard rarely. I haven't placed many orders there. No grabs there yet, but I am always hopeful.

I don't bother with NW, because there is always someone who will pay more than me; I don't play that game.

I do like the SnapShot feature, but I would imagine it takes up a fair amount of processing power. I'd prefer to see that invested in grabbing names... :)

Kjel - one thing that I did use SnapShots for was to monitor names that I am interested in, but not ready to buy SnapBacks for - kind of like a shopping cart or "wishlist". I could see at a glance which names were still Snappable (tm). Would it be possible to create something like that?
