Just when you think Snapnames couldn't get worse, they do.

I was just releasing Snaps on names Snapnames failed to get (which is almost all of them), and found one that dropped 8/9, and has been AVAILABLE for 3 days!! It's InspiredPromotions.com, if anyone cares to validate my statement. I went over to eNom and bought it right away.

I would LOVE to hear an explanation as to how Snapnames is doing what we paid them to do, while names are dropped and not registered.

We have a fairly clear breach of contract here -- perhaps this should be over in the legal forum.

Dale - try sending a PM to DNF member Kjel who is with SnapNames. He wanted to hear about any instances of this happening so they can investigate it and try to find out what caused it. I'm sure he would appreciate it.

I am almost sure it was a bug, not bad performance.

Dale, the good thing is that you still can use the snap on something else. And, you got the name at reg. price.

But, it shouldn't have happened.

Agreed on BOTH counts!

SnapNames better get it together! The competition is getting fierce!

This happened last week and I pointed it out to Nelson at Snapnames and he told me that the name was blocked from being backordered. The backorder was removed the next day and the name was never regged.

Why bother to deal with an available name. You can catch drops. If a name is available for 3 days and nobody cares about it then let it go.

 The guy paid a premium price for a service. The service provider didn't deliver. He has every right to be pissed regardless of your opinion of the name. SnapNames offers no refunds, so a customer expects this service to go after EVERY name that they have placed on backorder. Backorder blocked? BS. The guy backorded it. Bug maybe. This is totally unacceptable. Snap is quickly becoming one of the biggest ripp-offs on the entire net.

Dale,

If you see name that you have a SnapBack on it AND is currently available to register, there is obviously a bug in our database. Please immediately report something like this to our Support department ([email protected] or 800.385.4075 during business hours) and they will get you squared away.
