Simple question.

For some reason whenever I enter my details at snapnames it says "Card Verification Failed", and I have enough money in the bank.

I usually hand-reg domains but I have caught sight on a great domain so thought it will be worth the initial investment.

Also any other dropping services would help.

If you really want the name, you have to use Pool. Even when I use snaps, I backorder the domains at Pool for insurance.

I agree with mole. If you are strongly interested in a name and want to give yourself the best chance of obtaining it, use all of the major drop services.

Good luck!

If you are looking at which is the better of the two, Snapnames or Pool,
then clearly Pool is better by a fair margin. But with Pool, all great names will go to an auction and can cost a small fortune to obtain. With Snapnames, however, you pay a fixed fee.

So Snapnames may be easy and priced right, but for any major name the likelihood of winning is very low.

Snapnames is good for names that others do not seem to be interested in.
By the way, when comparing Snapnames to Godaddy, Snapnames will win almost everytime.

Good luck!

Enoms dropped the reseller only rule and is now open to all enom account holders. By the recent 22 grand take on ambient.com there, I have a feeling their pleased with the implementation.
Agree with the top threads. Try everything.
NameWinner.com, Snapnames, Godaddy.com, Dotregistrar.com, DropWizard.com, Enom.com, (Gulp) Expirefish.com, Pool.com (bring deep wallet), domaincatcher.com a rabbits foot, horse shoe and blessing from a priest or rabbi (or add your own favourite master of watever higher entity you choose) and pray Yun Yee and buydomains are having an off day at drop time. :)
