Can't believe some registrars increased rates MORE than the 7% registry increase.

Moniker.com just increased my .com cost to $9.09 which is 10% greater vs my previous cost of $8.28

Is it any wonder so many large domain owners are heavily trimming their portfolios, especially with ever decreasing PPC prices involved too.

I was pissed when Moniker went up more than warranted.. It was better run with Monte at the helm.

Moniker's price increase is a consistent with the Verisign increase combined with the Moniker Volume price discounting. Moniker offers deeper registration discounts based on the size of your organizations portfolio. In addition Moniker is the Most secure registrar, offers the best access to the aftermarket (Afternic/Buy Domains, SEDO MLS, Name Media Premium Promo, and Fabulous), best access to the end user buyers, most secure escrow, best brokerage team and best auctions). Some of the pricing at the other registrars have hidden costs or are only valid with some other promo.

If you are looking for a deeper discounts then you have please contact Michele Van Tilborg email michele ... [email protected] 954.861.3534 as she will make sure you are fully leveraging the pricing discount schedule and properly listing your names.

John,

While you are here may be you want to fix the "add funds" also. The increment goes from $50 to $500.
I believe it was 50, 100, 200 before 500.

Thanks,
John

Yes! That is a pet peeve of mine, and exactly the sort of change that hurt customers for no apparent reason.

I recently needed to add $200 to my Moniker account. That used to be one transaction - but now, I had to add $50 four times. Unnecessary waste of time and aggravation of customer.

This would be annoyed as some credit cards companies will flag this as fraudulent transactions and contact you to confirm.

Absolutely not true in my case.

True story: My .com price went from $8.02 to $9.50 - an 18.5% increase.

True story: Verisign increased .com prices from $7.34 to $7.85 - a 6.9% increase.

I fail to see how an 18.5% increase "is consistent with the Verisign increase" of 6.9%. Unless consistent means orders of magnitude more in your dictionary.

Stop the propaganda and own up to the truth! You're taking advantage of the Verisign price increase to price gouge your customers.

And all that other stuff about Moniker - is it really new as of the Verisign price increase? Was Moniker an insecure registrar until Verisign just increased their prices? This propaganda is just clouding the issue of the price increase.

How were you getting an $8.02 rate when the best eNom reseller rate was $8.50?? And their current rate is $9.00, not $9.50.
