What would you do to secure a domain if they were using your company's name in the url and also using your logo on their site?

This is definitely cyber squatting but what steps would you take without incurring any legal costs?

I'd contact the registrar of the domain and their hosting provider to see if they can do anything about it.

Would they say the same thing?

If the logo has copyright protection you can send a DMCA notice. Just make sure you know/follow the procedure. My experience has been that some hosts prefer or require a notice be sent to the operator before they get involved.
