Has anyone tried Nucem yet (just released)? It automatically reports abuse to the spammer's ISP plus all the other relay points. Nucem's engine accurately detects the real points of insertions even if the mail is masked.

Actually what is the definition of spamming?
If I e-mail one person (not using mass mailing), asking if he is interested in my domain, will it be considered as a spam?

Spamming by Nucem terms refers to MASS-scale emailing to people who did not opt-in to receive your mail.

Technically, unsolicited email even if done one-to-one is spamming. Your receipient has the right to complain, hopefully he doesn't. At least, not with Nucem. Nucem is really aggressive in tracing the culprits even when masked and sending complaints to the ISPs.

For those wondering how to stop junk mail spam

... I've been busy looking at ways to get rid of my spam problem. Here is a summary of the tools I've tested at different levels which I would recommend highly (works with MS Outlook 2000/XP)

Pre-Filtering before Inbox
-------------------------------------
Spamkiller http://www.spamkiller com

Filtering in Inbox
-------------------------------------
SpamNet Beta 6B http://www.cloudmark.com

Auto-spam reporting to spammer's ISP
-------------------------------------
Nucem 1.2 http://www.helpmesoft.com

Disposable email addresses
-------------------------------------
Spamex http://www.spamex.com
$10/year for 500 disposable emails

I'm also looking at mailshell.com for possible outside filtering help of my mail before it even hits my desktop filters, but not sure how good that is.

So far I've practically eliminated all spam mails with minimum false positives. But it does take a bit of work to fine-tune your filters and whitelist.

If you have tested any other tools, please do let me know your experiences. Thanks.

I hope I can mailbomb the spammers' e-mail account with 100,000 10MB binary files...
