Can anyone here test the vulnerabilty here by posting a spoofed link directly on this forum?

I can't seem to do it here.

But you can find a couple at my site and http://www.dnmole.com/spoof.htm to check to see if your browser is vulnerable.

Microsoft needs to work very fast to get a patch out before the spammers cream the market too much.

Won't be surprised if it's probably been used for many months by ID theft crooks already.

I think Microsoft would probably be very embarrassed to fess up to this simple bug.

The newspapers are already carrying these new hoax URL spam emails affecting banks.

Maybe the fix isn't as simple as we thought for the IE browser.

You can still use Microsoft Explorer. Just type your URLs in manually. The problem is when you click on links that come to you via email, or on forums, etc.

NOTE: I type in my urls as a matter of habit especially when I go to my banking website.

Oh, I had the impression that hyperlinks were a useful part of the Internet :cheeky:
But of course I wouldn't follow a link to a bank webpage etc.
