Hi,

My name is Luay and I live in Germany. I come from an IT background and have only started in ‘domaining’ 4 weeks ago. My interest in ‘domaining’ is economic rather than a hobby. Obviously, as some newbie ‘domainers’ have done before me, I started all wrong by buying brand spanking new domain names which, according to many posts on this forum, are worthless. So, live and learn, I guess. Anyway, I am looking forward to be a part of your community.

Best wishes,
Luay

Hello Luay, :welcome:

All domains were new at some point, there are high profile domainers that register brand new domains also.

Just being new doesn't make a name worthless. You could register a name for a new technology or the latest craze, for example.

Good luck!

Hi Luay

many of us who started years ago, didn't have all the 'appraisal' tools and scripts that you have now, which lure unsuspecting wanna bee domainers into regging a boatload of crap names.

and i'm glad we didn't :)

Go very very slowly. Most of us (when we're new to the idea of buying and selling domains) act first and learn second -- when we should be learning first and acting thereafter. Think of domaining as building a bridge. Study for a few months before you try driving across the first bridge you build yourself. Pay close attention to what is selling and what is not. Pay the most attention to stuff that sells with multiple offers involved.
