She listend national domain name system report there.
She confirmed the importance and success and great influence of Chinese domain name in internet industry, and China is going to grasp the next generation internet control power.

I agree that idn.cn may become very great, but the first (most elementary) thing they need to do is have a plan for getting rid of IE6!..

Currently, IE6 use in China is at around the 68% mark. :sigh2:

IE6 world-wise might be around the 30% mark, 68 is indeed quite high in cn.

amazing that so many people in China still use IE6. With all th copies you can buy here for less than a dollar and all the download websites, I would have assumed most of the people are running the latest version of everything.

As you're in China SnickSnack, why don't you help to educate citizens as to the perils of using IE6, explaining how insecure it is and what a poor internet experience it offers??

When they start seeing Chinese domain names popping up all over in 2010 they will be quick to upgrade. Browser support has been them main holdback to IDNs coming into for almost 9 years since many names were released in the IDN testbed back in 2000'. IE6 is one of the big culprits. Finally ICANN is about to get the "show on the road" with idn.idn beginning rollouts and sunrise registrations beginning this fall and into 2010 and beyond.

My little video/jokes website on an idn.cn is already started to get more and more new visitors daily, I foresee an explosion in traffic in the not too distant future. More info see my sig.

Go idn.cn
