Jobs is wise to start rallying his user base against Google, in fact he has no choice. If Google makes heavy gains into mobile technology, they'll use that as a launchpad to attack Apple's core market, operating systems and personal computing. Microsoft's OS market is vulnerable as well, with Google putting their full weight against Internet Explorer, hoping to use that as an entry point to OS-Land. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. For me personally, I will always root against Google, first because they seem to have abandoned search innovation, second because of how they treat small and medium size web publishers, and third because they place no value in customer support.
