Great domain... Well worth the $46K appraisal.

If your in a hurry to sell, I would list it in one of the live auctions.... You'll get a better price for it vs listing it on the forums.

Very nice. Not sure how much it is worth, but I would think a solid-to-mid XX,XXX. This is the type of name that you wait to get lucky with. Definitely wait for someone in social media/blogging who wants to launch or rebrand a site. This name is very strong.

This is honestly a hard one to appraise. First thought was damn this is a super premium domain. But with the negative connotation it limits the end user possibilities. I think you'd be waiting a life time to receive a mid 5 figure offer. I actually think Acro's appraisal is spot on and anything more is a good deal for the seller in this current climate.

It isn't really good for business.
So I don't think over 20k.
5k to 20k. But over time it will go up in time.

I also put it in the $15,000 to $25,000 depending on how bad an end user wants it.

I would love to have a [email protected] alternate email address. Short and to the point :)

Mid-High $x,xxx resale. Not commercial, very negative meaning and very limited use. I can only see some fun site being developed, which needs thousands of visitors per day to make it profitable. Check the top 5 sites in Google for STFU, I would not invest much in this domain knowing that the development, content and especially the marketing will need hell of an attention (& money), hence I find the 15k-25k appraisals a little too optimistic.

Don't want to crash the party, but I think $5k is a big number for this name. It's a commonly used acronym but there's not much to do with it.
If it were mine I'd probably take $4k for it.

EpicFail.com was sold for $7500 if I remember correctly; look at the web site and traffic! STFU.com is definitely a 5-figure domain, anyone who thinks otherwise just STFU! :D

EpicFail doesn't have that insulting tone so I don't compare the to.
A very creative person would think of a great use for stfu.
Negativity doesn't sell to the real business world.
The people that would want it won't have much money.

If you think STFU is 'insulting' you must be living in the Bible Belt. Since the beginning of time, acronyms on the Net have been used without much afterthought of the level of 'insult' they represent. This is a great promotional domain and I don't see it falling below the $xx,xxx mark.

Sure, that is why you see tons of businesses running these sites.
Fine, I can see it selling for $10,000, but I doubt 20k although possible.
Now go stfu. OMG did I just use it, wow. haha
That is no insult.

You can't appraise a name at 5K if you know for a FACT that others are willing to pay at least 10K for the name right now. This is what I don't get. We all kind of think that what WE would pay for it should be the appraisal, and I am guilty of this at times myself.

At some point if you know that multiple people at this moment are prepared to buy it for an amount higher than 5k then I don't know how you can actually type that you think it is worth 5K. I think you are missing the whole point. I try to say when I make my low appraisals that you can find your answer right now....list it here, or let's see what the highest real offer is now from people in this thread. That sets the low.

Most people who appraise high are NOT prepared to buy the name at their appraisal at that moment, that is why most high appraisals here carry very little weight.

I am prepared to pay 10K right now. I would rather have STFU.com than 10K in cash. So, let's stop with the nonsense personal opinions that do not reflect the reality of the current market for the name.

Domain is worth mid x,xxx at best.

I dare any of the appraisers to offer more than 5k :)

Edit:

Just saw WhoDatDog offering 10k. Who are you planning on selling it to?

Indeed their is nothing special about this domain other then it reflects the words some may find disturbing - at best this could be a forum or a community for angry people to post their anger at the world using the words STFU
