A strange thing just happened with SnapNames earlier..

I put ****ThemNow.com on my order list a few days as it was dropping..
Now I got a email from SnapNames that they got ****ThemMow.com and are waiting for payment.. On DomainTools it seems that they just registered the name today... Note that ****ThemNow.NET isn't even registered :sigh2:

I mean WTF just happened??

I sent back that I do not authorize the payment and that they would terminate my account immediately..

Is this a usual thing with SnapNames?

Apparently, you screwed up.
You mis-typed when entering the domain into your catch list.
(typed a "M" instead of "N".)

When their system realized it was available, they registered it.

Their system is automated so it is not a case of a person saying
"Gee, maybe he will want this one instead."

It would have been more prudent if you just had contacted them and
explained the problem. And, ask for them to delete the domain.

There are a couple bad guys in the domain biz.
Snapnames is not one of them.

Contact snap. they usually will take care of it and give you a refund.

Another thing, I do not think you will be able to snap the original domain you wanted to get. It was regged with regfly and will be held by ICANN until it's transferred. It will have another year added to its expiration.

Ok thanks, but I don't think that I mistyped it, I always copy-paste the domains into their search field directly from DomainTools

did you see the porno pic on domaintools?
there is no domain history for f*&kthemmow.com to trace back so i can't tell if it was previously regged.
my guess is that it could have been a typo.

Yeah it could have been but I am 99% sure that I it wasn't a typo from me because I always copy-paste them directly from domaintools after I checked the domains there,
