What is the commonly recommended strategy for selling a profitable, 10 year old small business/domain, with top 3 placement worldwide for many of its main keywords in a highly competitive market?

The domain comes with a 15k+ list of customers from over the years.

I thought about ebay, but most of the offers there are cookie-cutter business with no google ranking and low level domains.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi

i say, before you put on the market, you should have thoroughly assesed it's value.

if it's profitable, how long has it been so, what are expenses, overhead, etc.

also, be able to explain why you're selling, if the property is profitable.

consider how you'll replace that income if necessary, before defining your minimum price expectations

imo...

I would stay away from eBay unless you put a fixed price on it - mostly bottom feeders there, but as Biggie says, you need to thoroughly value the business so you know what to ask. I see Latona's selling some businesses like this and they seem to understand valuations pretty well.
