That's not what she said. She said "I won't have to worry about...." and didn't say "I won't have to..."

Right she won't have to worry about paying her bills because Obama is going to take care of it for her. Why are you trying to defend her when its obvious to most people who have seen the video agree that that is what she meant.

You have to admit its a pretty idiotic thing to say.

I thought elections are over?

This isn't about the elections. I just thought it was funny video. Obviously you didn't.

I still didn't take it that way. Look, a lot of people are inspired by the election of Obama. It doesn't make anyone stupid for disagreeing with you or any other Republican or for having hope for society's future. We're in the middle of an economical crisis. Can't we all look to hug one another instead of trying to bring each other down? :)

Well, I can see why the anti-Obama forces would interpret her words one way, and the pro-Obama forces the other way. (Put me in the latter camp; I think she just believes the economy will be better, either in general or for people like her [whatever that means], enabling her to make more money to pay those bills.)

I'm sure Obama will make mistakes (like certain other presidents I could name); I'm also sure that some stupid people voted for each major party's candidate for president.

But I agree with Tia's larger point. Instead of looking for ways to belittle each other, let's try to move forward together.

(And yes Acro, good point - the election is over, the people have spoken!)

I think it is good to join behind the new president and give him some time and let him get thinks under his control and hope for the best.

After some time if you don't see any improvement we can discuss at that time.

To start with let him get control of his horses.

Again let us home for the best.

It was just a little political humor and so many here can't seem to handle it.

No, political humour is something like The Onion. Well thought out, and actually insightful. This is a thinly veiled attempt at making a political swipe, and a really half arsed one at that.

The title alone makes it obvious. If you'd used a title like "Foolish Voter: The correct choice was Kang!" and then madea comment about how all of her hopes and reams will come crashing down around her like a house of cards, that could be have been considered potentially insightful, and slightly funny if correctly worded.
This was neither.

Your use of glib animated images didn't help either.

Whatever dude. If you can't see the humor in it that's not my problem. It is still amazing to me just how many people won't admit that they can't see any kind of humor in anything where Barack Obama is concerned.

First up, I have nothing to gain or lose by his election as I'm not a US citizen (ZOMG! And I'm on the intermawebs?! how can that be!?!?), so if anything it makes me substantially more unbiased.

Secondly, I find a plenty of jokes about Obama funny. But that's the thing, they're jokes and they're funny. Not insults and not funny.
Obama Win Causes Obsessed Backers To See How Empty Lives Are is my personal favourite.
Obama Practices Looking into Future Pose is good.
Nightmare Ticket
http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/obama_clinches_joe_cabernet is a jab at the Joe The Plumber crap.
And pretty much most things from here: http://punditkitchen.com/?s=barack+obama are gold. ie:

See the common thing with them all?
They're insightful, actually funny, and don't resort to insulting anyone other than the candidates.
