I recently did a scan of all 1,296 2-character .org domains. As you probably know, these are now reserved by the registry, and I was curious how many were active and how many reserved. The results of the scan are up here:

There were some interesting results. These are the 48 domains that are 'reserved':
Code:
ac.org ar.org bp.org bs.org b3.org c2.org
do.org d3.org e3.org fs.org hb.org h9.org
i6.org j0.org k4.org mw.org nh.org nq.org
o7.org pj.org pt.org qd.org r4.org sk.org
ts.org ur.org vc.org yo.org zg.org zi.org
zl.org zp.org z8.org z9.org 0d.org 0n.org
0p.org 0t.org 1w.org 2c.org 2w.org 3p.org
31.org 5c.org 6g.org 7d.org 7e.org 75.org
It also has a breakdown of the registrars, and all names sorted by registration date. Anybody know what's up with e8.org?

I'm thinking about doing the same thing for .com/.net, would anybody be interested in seeing it?

Some of them are reserved names now only because they dropped in the past and not available again per the registry rules of not being able to reg them, such as AC.org. I remember when the old owner made the big mistake of letting it expire. Of course, 2 letter names like AC are much more valuable than 2 character.

Thanks for the interest, running scans on .com and .net right now. I'll post when the results are in.

When Bonkers 2 showed up at another forum the mods knew it was probably really him because he used a two letter domain for an email address. At least in the domain industry LL's are a sign of clout.
