Has anyone seen the new notebook computers that Microsoft is coming out with called Tablet PCs?
Its a notebook that has a screen that will twist around and fold flat so you can write on the screen, take notes, and send the handwriting or change it to script and email it instantly with no transposing. It's really cool.

Anyway, In anticipation of the market becoming generalized and competitors adopting the same feature I regged these names.

tabletnotebooks.com
tabletnotebooks.net
tabletnotebook.net
tabletlaptops.com
tabletlaptops.net
tabletlaptop.net

What do you think?

I though of the same thing a few weeks ago,had some inside
info but decided not to.Don't really want to make Bill mad.
Better get something on those sites quick, fast and in a hurry,
cause "Uncle Bill" will be watching!

Good luck.

Yes I was! Figured it could a quick reg at the right time type of deal. I'm sure someone else would have gotten them if I didn't. It'll either be a nice deal or a waste of $50. We'll see.

Those things are cool though, huh?

Nice names! You were fast on this :) They can be over 1k each, depending on the success of the tabletPC... I think they will succeed in selling many of these TabletPC's 'cause they look really great.
So, in my opinion that was a well spent $50. Good luck!

No problem.

I normally don't get too excited about new products but when I saw this my eyes lighted up. I just got out of college a couple of years ago and I would have LOVED to have something like this as I normally wrote my notes and then retyped them to study. The thing is that Microsofts TabletPC is a regular notebook with this tablet feature. Because it is only about $150-$200 more than a regular notebook I don't think it is going to have to "catch on", if it actually works well it will probably become a standard notebook feature. IMO.

If you've ever worked with a tablet you'll never want to have the mouse as the only option again! Tablets are a great way of preventing RSI, so the TabletPC's aren't only cool gadjets but they're healthy too!

You could do a great spoof website around the idea of www.suppositorypc.com

Just one of the themes that you could draw out is the idea that it's another example of MS trying to give you one up the ***

:D

You beat me to it!

I actually got to play with one of these at a show
a week or so ago. Very Very nice. A bit pricy in my
opinion but IF the price comes down, these will
be extremely popular.

Microsoft claims that these new machines are going
to replace standard PCs by 2005 (New York Times, 11/7/02).

I tried to grab some names, most of the good ones were
already taken (what else is new).

I did grab these though:

Tablet-Software.com
Tablet-Hardware.com
Tablet-Games.com

I'm thinking of grabbing a few more. Not worth
anything now but in a few years might built
up value.

Those look ok, but they are being marketed as TabletPCs, not the names that you stated above. If the ms products succeed, then it looks like a lot of typeins, but not a great name for a site.

Now that I think about it for more than 5 seconds it does
make sense. Yes, they are being marketed as TabletPC
not Tablets. LOL.

You destroyed my hopes of making millions of these domains! ;)

Yeah, you're right though, stupid move on my part. Ehh, not
the first and certainly not the last time I reged useless
names.

I gambled that the term Tablets will become ubiquitous like the terms notebooks and laptops are today. I bought tablets.com. :)

In a article Bill Gates is calling them Tablets.

http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,56261,00.html

"Tablets boast many of the best features of both handheld personal digital assistants and full-fledged portable PCs. But they also combine some of the worst features of PDAs and PCs.

Tablets are about as luggable as a standard-sized laptop, so it's not likely that users who love their PDA's super-portability are going to want to replace sleek little machines with a bulky Tablet."
