Dear moderators and experienced forum participants,

Is there a listing of definitions for the abbreviations and jargon in DNF for us newbies?
For instance, what's this BIN that I see referenced in domains for sale and how does it work?

I'm trying to learn fast as I try to sell over 500 domain names.

Thanks,

BIN means Buy It Now.

If someone asks for offers from $10 and there is a BIN of $100 this means that you can start bidding at $10 or you can simply buy it without the hassle of bidding for $100.

Here are some explanations of Domain sales terms

BIN - Buy It Now
Minimum Offer - or Minimum Asking Price
Reserve - minimum selling price in an auction
Bid Increment - minimum bidding increase in an auction
Traffic Stats - Proof of traffic, unique visits, hits, etc...

OVT is another that is worth mentioning here. Overture measures the number of times a user searches for a word or phrase on Yahoo & Overture. Checked via http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/. Multiply by x10 for an approximation of Google searches. Highly overrated IMO but stays popular as a factor in determining potential traffic.

A couple of others that I've seen on this board:

LNL.com = 'letter''number''letter'.com
(or similar variants with L's and N's)

CVCV.com = 'consonant''vowel''consonant''vowel'.com
(or similar variants with C's and V's)

...took me a minute to figure out each of those when I first saw them. I don't believe they're in the glossary on this site.
