Here's a serious suggestion..

(understand I am an marketing master and this is what i do all day.. market..) so.. here's an idea..

We take the top 'Texas' type names the member here have.. we pool together.. and spend the bucks to run an ad in a Texas Magazine or publication..

I can add:
CardserviceTexas.com
and
TexasTwist.com

( I learned recently that TexasTwist is a name of a company in Texas.. they ran an employment ad I saw) I wrote them.. we'll see if they reply.

I actually called the Houston Chronicle a few months back to find out how much a classified ad costs, and it was something like $90, ouch!!

But, if it was split 5 or 10 ways, it might be good! :) Who else has Texas names?

I'd trade Texan.com for Canadian.com :) I'll take on Molson, the beer company, too! :)

i would place texan.com between 2k and 8k. 20k is highly highly unlikely.

I don't think building a site increases the value much unless the site generates income as a result. That's old Ebay auction mentality. Took awhile but people finally figured out that those template sites meant nothing.
