On February 17-18, it.com Domains joined the ADCD (Africa Data Centers & Cloud Days) in Hammamet, Tunisia. Rolandas Japertas, Business Development Manager, represented our company at the ADCD.

The ADCD is a community dedicated to the growth of digital infrastructure in Africa. It brings together global innovators, visionaries and professionals from the IT and domain name sectors from across Africa and the Middle East.

During the two-day event, key topics for discussion included investments in digital infrastructure, alternative energy sources for data centers, emerging security threats, and readiness for artificial intelligence.

This year, a special emphasis was placed on the rapid advancement of IT technologies and the domain name industry in Africa. North Africa is aiming to become a key region for data center development, creating a digital bridge between Africa and Europe. Events like the ADCD are therefore very important for the growth of the industry in the region.

Speakers, including Rolandas Japertas, shared their thoughts on IT infrastructure and domain name security in Africa. They discussed AI’s influence on business development, cybersecurity, and, of course, the domain industry, which is just gaining momentum in the region.

Internet domains are a form of digital property. It’s not only important to pick the right one, but also to keep it safe from cybercriminals. Unfortunately, many companies don’t even consider the possibility their domain name might be used by fraudsters. However, there are plenty of ways to safeguard your online identity.

Digital security starts with the fundamentals; owning your own domain and being aware of how others might use it. We at it.com Domains are striving to make managing domains easier, more secure, and more accessible for businesses around the world. We follow all ICANN rules and closely monitor which sites are hosted on our domains,e and also have a policy against DNS abuse,
