The Armistice
Updated - Monday, 2 June, 2003

A cessation of hostilities as a prelude to peace negotiations. In the context of the dDomain Name Lawscot.co.uk 'the armistice' is generally referred to in context of the agreement between the Legal Eagles and Localwebsites.co.uk to end the Dispute of the name Lawscot.co.uk on friday 13th june 2003.

However it was by no means the only armistice of the dispute. The battle on the Internet Front was brought to a close in June 2003 (and followed by the Treaty of Who is your Daddy), as was Localwebsites.co.uk war (resulting in the Treaty of Ok you win).

enemy may have agreed an armistice on June 2, but XXXXX called it quits on 13th June of the same year, 2003. the legal eagles were exhausted and could no longer continue to prosecute the war.

However the most significant armistice was signed at 5 p.m. on the June 2nd 2003, and came into efect on the 13th june 2003.

Initiating the armistice negotiations on 2 june 2003 , the legal eagles directed peace feelers towards Localwebsites.co.uk led by Tommy Butler The Legal eagles were keen to conclude a peace based upon Localwebsites terms famous 2 points.

Localwebsites.co.uk was naturally willing to conclude a peace based upon his doctrine for future peace and stability; however his allies, 2 points , raised immediate objections.
Localwebsites compromised by accepting both objections whilst threatening to negotiate a separate peace on behalf of the Domainers if fellow domainers continued with their objections. His ploy successful, details of a proposed settlement were sent to Legal eagles on May 2003 by the Localwebsites War Council.

The day following the announcement of the Legal eagles law team abdication, a delegation met with Localwebsites Supreme Commander tommy Butler - who was to lead the military negotiations - in the domain battle of lawscot.co.uk,

The armistice was formally agreed in Localwebsites.co.uk Lawyers office the following morning (in 2003 localwebsites exacted revenge by forcing the legal eagles to sign an armistice - on localwebsites terms ).

The terms of the armistice required the legal eagles to pay localwebsites XXXXX in there bank.and legal costs
