My guess would be the ones along the line of 5-5.com, H-H.net or possibly A-1.org or something else that is easily remembered. Depends what you want with them, I guess.

indeed they have.

I have bought many and sold many over the years...primarily .com, .net, and even a couple .org and one .us.

LL.com at minimum $XXX,XXX.00

L-L.com at minimum $X,XXX.00

New start ups most likely will not want to pay or even consider paying what an LL .com or net goes for. Some do, but most don't.

I also like the idea of L-L.mobi names, since LL aren't available. I picked up one a while ago, C-M.mobi and think it would make a good Country Music site. So I guess the BEST L-L names in any situation would be the ones with actual development potential, which has a loose correlation with what most people feel are the best letters for 2,3,and 4 letter domains. (At least in the English domain market)

Tend to agree.

Search engines like google do not "read" the hyphen.

So it is possible to still achieve excellent rankings.

95% of mine do not do well parked. There are a rare couple that do exceptionally well.

The real value is in a developed site BY the enduser.

I can fully appreciate the 6 figure asking prices for any LL anything.

But I can also fully appreciate the 5 figures I get from folks not wanting to pay the 6.

I never understood the rejection by so many domainers for the hyphen. The Purists of the DomainDom say this is bad mojo and won't touch it.

Then I was not pure as I trend upon the trash heap years ago and were grabbing these.

No domainer to domainer sales are going to bring top dollar. We all think we have our own goldmine and are still digging the mine. I see so many people on this forum want steep prices for what they have but yet make such ridiculous offers or appraisals on others similar and often times better domains. It's all part of the game.

But I am not so intent on being lowballed or even making lowball offers as I am in reaching the consumer and enduser.

Let's face it; there are only 100 possible NN and N-N combinations and only 676 possible LL and L-L combinations...IN ANY EXTENSION!

I think that is where the realization that perhaps, just perhaps, there is a market out there also for the N-N-N and L-L-L dot coms.

And based on what I have seen with active sites and recent sales figures, this is not just a percieved notion but a viable solution and alternative to what we are seeing NNN and LLL dot coms selling for.

There is a market. 1000 nnn or n-n-n and 17,576 LLL or L-L-L. Artist would call these numbers "limited editions". Domainers call them trash but the end user calls them a bargain.

Am I hurting the LL, LLL, NN, and NNN markets? Not in the least. If people can justify their asking price and hold steadfast and not negotiate or even budge off the price and often times end up wanting MORE than the stated amount, then there is definitely a market behind the hyphenate versions.

Absolutely standfast if you have a gem. As I mentioned, there are no more. There is only one.

But when I see some of the asking or starting prices for POS or WTF domains, then my market is created for me.
