Love him or hate him you have to give Rick Schwartz credit because credit is due. For those that have never heard of the self-proclaimed Domain King, Rick is one of the most successful domain asset managers and, even though he has cut back a bit recently, he remains one of the most proficient domain [...]

Another nice blog. We should all invest in generic name. Can someone llend me some money? lol

Thanks for sharing, or teaching, i would say. Credit to the writer as well.

Thanks to Rick for sharing his blog. It would be nice if he'd come to dnf to at least interact with us. Since he's not actively blogging, he can have some fun.

Adam, can you invite Rich Schwartz to join the forum. Maybe he can tell us how pigeon shit our domains are, and teach us some more good stuff. He's so well known in the domain industry. Tell him we need someone like him here.

The Domain King also shared that several companies “GET IT”. Here are a few examples:
Bank of America owns Loans.com. THEY GET IT!
Barnes and Noble own Books.com. THEY GET IT!
Kraft owns CreamCheese.com. THEY GET IT!
JC Penney owns Gift.com. THEY GET IT!
Calvin Klein owns Underwear.com. THEY GET IT!

This is very insightful!

The heavy hitters like Rick and dozens of others were at one time most all active posters or at least semi-active members here (I remember them well) but sadly left about 5 or more years ago. A number of them started blogs and spent their time at their own site(s) or else just stopped participating on this board for various reasons. It would be real tough to locate their old archived and quite valuable knowledge posts since at the time most all used their old forum handles and not real names.

Voted rick as most important.

Seems that he should be around somewhere.

Most important dooesnt mean most self-important.

Do it and then brag is my motto. Say hello rick.

He could begin with his own, because he owns a lot of pigeon droppings :D

Now I know many people don't like him a lot or think he's living off a past reputation but you have to admit very few domainers have achieved million dollar sales. Like him or not, he's a pioneer in this industry. He had vision and he is presumably set for life now. So why should he care about what the small fry thinks :D
Of course he has made bad moves and bad decisions too. In this industry you have to be able to sort through the BS and read between the lines. Listen to what the experienced veterans have to say but be able to think independently.

Rick is a member here, just doesn't post much. But if you are interested, you can probably find some of his posts in the archives here.

If you want his philosophy and "rules" on how not to be a pigeon shit farmer just read thru the archives on his blog.
