That's a nice one. Too bad you dropped it :-(

Mine: JetPrivate.com I think. I was all up in arms about recouping my $9 reg fee, lol. Ended up selling for $30 profit, IIRC.

I think alot of people let decent names drop when the reg/renewal fees were $35+ at least.

I'm guessing you let punk.net drop the following year, Chris?

Even worse; domains were free until early 1996..

I recently posted link to a 1996 usenet posting - someone selling music.net for $1500 and being abused for selling something that cost nothing.. how times change.

Nope. I'm still associated with PunkNet and they use the domain under the agreement that if they ever fold, I get it back. In other words, it's theirs forever, but they have to give it back when they're done.

Still own it. :)

Well I think I regged a few domains earlier than that but were stupid enough I forgot what they were.

EZWebdesigns.com 1995, let it drop 1999...reregged it in 1999, still own it.

Well I wish I would have registered other names besides this one. Knowing then what I know now....

Just think of the names back in '95 that were still available..and I get this one...

FraTeLa.org in 2000 for a client.

ftl.org was the preferred name, but was for sale with an asking price of US$3000.

I noticed ftl.org dropped earlier this year, and went for something over $200 at Pool if I remember correctly, which was more than I was prepared to pay.

I'm very thankful to the client, as I would never have got into the domain business if they hadn't asked to have their own domain name.
