im just curious, will the 3 digit ( ex: 123.com,123.net,123.org ) ever go sky rocketing?

- there is only 1000 diff combos of NNN

- there is less NNNN then LLL domains

this is what i calculated,

26 - 1 letters ( ex: L.com/net/org )
676 - 2 letters ( ex: LL.com/net/org )
17,576 - 3 letters ( ex: LLL.com/net/org )
465,976 - 4 letters ( ex: LLL.com/net/org )

10 - 1 numbers ( ex: N.com/net/org )
100 - 2 numbers ( ex: NN.com/net/org )
1,000 - 3 numbers ( ex: NNN.com/net/org )
10,000 - 4 numbers ( ex: NNNN.com/net/org )

so is this a good investment? thanks in advance :)

The rarest 3 number (NNN) extension is actually the .US

The Registry Neustar (who runs the phone numbers) restricted blocks of them. So they have lower supply and then higher popularity/demand.

Do some searching on the forum here and you'll come across some new trends on using those digits in combination with the Net. Numbers like 286 (ATM) for banks etc. are thought to have additional future value.

I would not say the prices will skyrocket; unless it's a .com
However, for example, of the 1000 combinations, there are currently 828 left in the .in realm.
