The need for the Java DL

I have a question abou the java download. It seems there is no macintosh version. Is there another way to attend the auction?

Or is there a sample of this java chat that is up somewhere that could try it and see if it is supported by the macs own java? I would really like to attend the and partake in the auctions but I can't justify buying a pc to do so

I think we should be able to test if we can enter the auction, before the auction.

gregr, do you have a test link?

My download was screwy, and I had to delete the java.

Above IS from Gregr y'day or two days ago in a thread in this section. Doberry - I don't believe there will be any time for a "test".
I still haven't downloaded Java correctly, either. Let's cross our fingers ... but I'm HOPING for good things! See you.

It seems like it's going to be a "test on the spot" for all of us. I've downloaded but won't know if it works for sure until auction night unless there's a test room of some sort.

I dunno. I'm just going by that "quote" ... I think the programmers are hard at work to get the Auction chat 'set-up and working by tom'w night. In other words, THEY won't even be able to test it until they're done ... which is likely tom'w night, as well. It's going to be down to the wire, as I read it.
