While looking for the best price-quality service on domain registration, i got to find GoDaddy.com ( http://www.godaddy.com/ )about 1 year ago.
They had the best price so i registered a few domains with them. Generally i'd say they are "satisfactory". The service isn't very user friendly and i found some bugs.
Meanwhile, some time ago i found a better price-quality place. Their website is more user friendly, has better quality and prices are lower than GoDaddy... $8.69 for a 1 year domain name registration! Also configurable via web.
In case you want to take a look, the URL is:
http://deluxe.multiuniversal.com/7

So my questions here are:

Does anyone know an even better registrar in terms of price/quality registration or did i find the best of the best?

I'd also like to hear some interesting DNS world experience you might have. :)

The URL you gave is an Enom reseller with a PDQ interface. I think Enom is the best you can get (better than Godaddy)... one reseller is going to be similar to another.

If you want to manage your domain name for the value of its registration. I highly recommend enom service, whether you use it for business or personal use. Simple ways to manage.

Hope this help.

Godaddy is good but they get you on the small extra features. I would go for eNom or get a reseller account from an eNom ETP and you will probably be better off

*eNom is the best overall.

*NameCheap (eNom reseller) is solid.

*Dotster is solid. (though too expensive on average)

*NameBargain is ok - but same slow support as big brother Register.com

*Register.com is over priced - and slow to respond.

*RegisterFly is too quirky - and suffers from quality issues.

*BulkRegister is behind the times.

*NetSol is NetSol. No explanation needed.

*DotRegister/DotRegistrar is a disgrace to the industry.

There you have it. :)

I'd have to completely disagree with Popper on Dotster being "solid". I find the interface awkward and slow. Also, changes I've made to contact info on Dotser sometimes take a day or more before they show up in the whois.

Well, I have to argue that NameBargain.com is NOT okay.

And their support is slow and not necessarily helpful too.

About a year ago, they screw up my transfer AWAY from NetSol, making me pay hundreds to renew names over there AND THEN re-initiate illegally those out-dated transfers AFTER more than a month.

Now, they are refusing to let me transfer AWAY from them. Details in another thread at http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20697

I guess "ok" is already overated for them.

Well still i rather go for a good service, thats rare nowadays, people are desperate to make money and they will do anything for it...

If you look at the huge quantity of piramid schemes around, its really impressive!

So i guess i'll stick with the good service i'm getting, for now.
I took a look at the other registrars and it all looks the same to me...prices are not that different anyway. :)

Thanks for your advices, i appreciate your feedback and will keep in mind your remarks about the other registrars in case i'll need to change or will want to try out a new one, one day.

Regards!

I think OnLineNIC is the best at $6.69 given the following restrictions.

Their server is slow.
URL and eMail forwarding are chargeable extras.
You can only list your domains one page at a time.

Most times forwarding are charged extra...:)

I guess it is all very alike...
One day we can register any name we want! I think we'll eventually move into the client side world and the old "http://" will be gone along with the dots...

NamePopper.com, what is the issue you take with DotRegistrar? I can think of some but am interested to know what specifically you are referring to.

At EasyToRegister.com you can apply for a reseller account with domain name registration for as low as US$8.95 with FREE URL Forwarding and FREE email re-direction. You can open accounts for friends or for customers and charge the price you wish on registration and make commissions on domain registrations. You may also push domain names between different accounts for FREE. Excellent support.

DON'T USE ON LINE NIC.

Their service is too good and at $6.69 they are too cheap. If everyone used them, how could I keep a sales advantage. :D
