How long did it take before your efforts as a domain investor paid off?
Do you remember the tipping point when you became "successful" at domaining?
Whatt factors contributed to the tipping point being realized: year, economic climate, high demand for domains, you staying up all night hunting for domains, affiliations, a lucky break with a domain etc?

Have you made enough money in domaining that has permitted you to move to the next level (higher price domain sales and investments)? Have you had a tipping point?

what is success?

making one sale and quitting?

is it getting your name mentioned in a prominent blog or rubbing shoulders with someone who you think is successful?

or is it doing what you do, year after year while continuing to sustain?

some folks come in the game with lots of money in/on hand and buy up lots of greats names then they get put on a pedestal as a successful domainer

some folks come in the game with very little cash on hand and the work their way up their "own ladder" step by step without ever gettting any notoriety

what is success?

Difficult to tell. You may only realize years later.
And even when you've attained 'success' you'll only want to move up to the next level... but it's never enough cause you always want more :)
