The value of Keywords.com by Google Adwords Keyword Tool?

How to gauge the exact dollar value of a keywords.com such as bigbluewidgets.com by Google Adwords Keyword Tool?

For example, "big blue widgets" has monthly [Exact] search numbers: global = 1000, US = 500, CPC = $1, by Google Adwords Keyword Tool, then what's the rough dollar price for bigbluewidgets.com?

basically, there is no correlation between gkwt results and the value of a domain.


it's all speculative data that used as a marketing tool for selling domain names.


the use of gkwt in association with domain values, arose when the overture.com tool died.


if you owned that domain and put up a few webpages with adsense and some content, then any traffic/clicks/earnings would determine a more accurate value to guage pricing.


still, since a majority of domainers use gkwt stats as a "measurement" of potential value...(which is based on the premise of developing that particular domain), those numbers may appeal to others, based on what niche' they're after.

Guess I'd have to develop the names to see the value. But would still like to know your opinion on how to price the .com names based on the data provided by gakt. A rough guess based on experience? For example, if the data by gakt is true, $1000, but as we usually find the actual search traffic on the No.1 spot of search results would only bring in 1/5 of the data by gakt, then the .com name would be evaluated at $200, etc.

there are too many variables, one of which is that "YOU" typed in that term to query a result, which inflates the results, each and every time another domainer queries the same term.

multiply that for every top tier keyword and phrase

another issue is, if the gkwt became a standard means of valuating domain names for pricing, then it could be manipulated like "click fraud" in ppc, to artificially inflate results on specific domain names.
