This is a really strange coincidence, so I decided to share it...

I was browsing through dropping domains last night...as usual...and stumbled upon a domain that's the name of the mortgage company of my ex's dad...
It's a pretty powerful company in Chicago, and the site is still fully running with a good PR ranking, decent backlinks, and everything..

So the domain is about to drop within a few hours...and I don't know whether I should pick it up and give it to him (it will cost a buck)...or just screw it and not get involved. He was a real nice man and always treated me nice, but me and ex had a horrible break up, plus my current gf hates her. :-S

Any suggestions?

Anybody else have any similar weird stories?

It's on TDNAM btw..so if someone even wins it, can't he still renew it within 7 days to get it back?

Send an anonymous letter or email to the IT guy at his company, or phone the IT guy.

if you like that company call them and let them no.
So, your gf don't have to feel that you are involved in some way with your xs company or gave them something etc.

Girls are some times hard or some issues.. (they tend to think more on them)

Very likely it's cheaper for you to grab it now than letting him pay the redemption fee to get the name back later. Like you said before, he'd been nice to you... flavor goes around, you know... :)

its a win-win situation. If anything, he was happy and your ex must be pissed!
