thought I throw out a few phrases that are often used by lowballers, asking if this or that domain name is for sale.
when any of these phrases are mentioned in conversation, rarely does it result in a sale.
though, the further down the list a "potential" gets, the more likely we may come to an understanding.
1. i'm a reseller, not an end-user
2. i'm a reseller, not an end-user, so give me a fair price
3. i'm a reseller, not an end-user, so i can only offer $120
4. i'm a student and don't have any money
5. i'm a student and I can only offer $60
6. your price is too high, you will never sell for that amount.
7. $100, good for 24hrs
8. $300, good for 24hrs
9. numbers with 4's don't sell for that much
10. dabot says your name is not worth that much
11. your price exceeds reseller pricing guide range
12. your price is higher than market prices.
13. why does it cost so much?
if we get to #13 and after they have rationalized my replies, some of them will come back with mo dough.
feel free to add any phrases mentioned in negotiations that gave you same feeling.
maybe it will serve as a deterrent and as notice.
imo...
