I don't think there is any special reason nor that they purchased this domain to redirect it to that site. My guess is that they just owned the domain and figured that there was nothing better to do with that traffic

Just doesn't seem appropriate for a kids toy site.

You looking for generic domains to buy again Adam

Gotta love it when you type it in and they don't go anywhere but an old blog from 2004 or something..lol too bad it's not the case with this one.

A no... just came across it... would be better put to use to help find missing children, IMHO.

Agreed.
Then, site can say supported/maintained by Hasbro.
That will be nice goodwill publicity for them.

Might be some sort of joke by the Domain admin/webmaster over at Hasbro. I don't think anybody involved in a company would make such a bad decision, but it could be a third party who controls their domains.

That is very creepy freaky.

I agree, sponsor a site along the lines of finding missing children or putting a stop to exploited children.

Do they really perceive this redirect as serving any worthwhile effort or cause? Is it improving sales and their bottom line?

I hardly think so.

Bizarre.

I thought the same thing.

Though I would have expected an alien site or stuff like that

as a parent, i would imagine it would be "parents" who would even type that into the browser- unless hasbro has a better reason, it seems like a real real slimy way to reach the parental audience- but after what i have seen recently, i wouldnt even be surprised
