"This week China made changes to who can apply for and gain control of Chinese language net domains."
From http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4767972.stm
I understand there was some misinformation put out by the peoples daily about new root servers
However, Icann seems to have explained that as a misunderstanding.
Does this change (quoted in the BBC article ) allow anyone to register domains with the Chinese characters to .com (gongsi), .net (wangluo) and China (zhongguo) ?
If so, where and how much?
