DNJournal this week reports the sale of Travel.info for $116,000. However perhaps of more important note is the sale of NewYork.info for $70,000. This is the third time in as many years it has changed hands.
2004 NewYork.info sold for $28,086
2006 NewYork.info sells for $46,392
Almost exactly a year later in
2007 NewYork.info sells for $70,000
The figures represent an increase of 50% in value between 2006 and 2007, and a total increase of a wacking 149% between 2004 and 2007. But even this may be a 'reseller price' rather than an end-user price!
This fantastic rate of growth over the past 3 years would indicate a growing market for the .info suffix, something that has been forecast since the suffixes introduction but as yet has failed to substantially materialize. It should be remembered though that if NewYork.com came onto the market it would almost certainly command a 7 figure price, however, would it show 50%per annum growth rate to match the .info performance?
...............
Mods if this is in the wrong section then could you please move it. Many thanks. BillBo
