Since Thomas Cook (holiday firm) collapsed and went into liquidation their domains are now being auctioned off as part of their portfolio to pay creditors. It is being overseen by Hilco Streambank.

As a non UK investor very few names seem valuable. HolidayHotels.com is good. But the rest of the heap seem as mediocre as their travel offerings were

I like hoteltransfer.com - having used these services quite a few times I could see development potential there.

I guess so, but is that not often a service connected to the locale?

I mean you would look to the local taxi service or the hotel you are staying at for a transfer, not an international service. Or am I misunderstanding what kind of transfer its referring to?

I use companies that usually transfer you from the airport to any hotel. They then pick you up at that hotel and take you back to the airport at the end. So it's not actually the hotel's service. For example when I go to Austria I use https://austriatransfers.at/
So I could see a route to monetisation either as a directory with affiliations to services or starting a service using subdomains for countries, cities, hotel names etc - lots of choice.
I recommend everyone using a hotel transfer service when you go abroad You get met off the plane with a namecard, taken to your car, and delivered to the hotel. Usually the cost isn't bad.
