Well, .ORG is the only game in town this month and I just have to play. Got these from the drop list and all have strong OT/Google numbers and are registered in all extensions including most of the little country codes . nu .cc .ws etc. What would you try to retail them for?
OnTour.org - very strong search numbers, 750,000 in Google in parenthesis. Thinking of a site that consolidates information on bands, authors, entertainers, etc that are currently on tour - where and when they can be seen - then have affiliate links to cds, movies, books etc.
PrettyGirl.org - great search numbers too of course, over 30,000 in overture. A variety of uses.
Newcomer.org - I'm thinking this would be good for real estate companies who are always searching for newcomers to their area. If it is a national company they could subdomain for local branches - like Houston.Newcomer.org etc.
I know some don't like .org but I have come to be very appreciative of it. .org has outsold .net for me since I entered the business. Just sold MyMD.org for mid three figure range. I think if a business uses a .org wisely it can be a real asset. Put a lot of information on it and use a soft sell approach. The .org tends to make people think there are altruistic reasons behind the domain, rather than pure commercial intent. It has more credibilty as an unbiased source and that can be a big plus.
