Why do you combine these 2 numbers? It's totally different meaning. Google's number shows the frequency of the words used on the net, but Overture's one indicates how many time people did search for the term in the month before.

They are combined in the total hits but the formula for overture is quite different than the one from google.

The type-ins or PPC vars are figured in to the overall composite.

Does that make since?
