When you go to register a domain that you think is good (not excellent or else the question would answer itself) and you notice multiple TLDs are available (.com, .org, .net, .info etc..). Do you just stick with the .com or say the heck with it and buy up the other TLDs?

i could only see registering all the other extensions if i were branding a domain, or maybe get some other extensions if there was traffic.

otherwise, i would only get the com.

there are always circumstances, that dictate which tld's are best to get.

for instance

i hand-regged a .net typo, with a hyphen, about a week ago.
at that time All tld's for that name were available to reg, including .com, but i regged the .net only.

the last few days it started getting some hits and clicks, making around $27.00 so far.
so...i went back yesterday and regged the .com :)
