I see this question asked at alot of domains forums so thought I would offer my 2 cents.

Google likes it better if they find the domains on their own. So best to link your domains to existing sites you have and let Google spider them. You will get higher rankings and if they are linked to the front page of a good PR site Google will find and add them faster than if you submit directly.

I just did this with a bunch of new domains and Google listed them within a couple weeks. If you submit they get added to the long list of others in the que. Plus Googlebot seems to think they are better and rates them higher if he finds them as opposed to being force fed. Using the GoogleToolbar also helps Google find them faster.

Then once Google finds them most of the other SE will too by spidering them from Google. I used to do SEO for a living and spent alot of time submitting. Now I NEVER submit and find good cross linking strategy with all my existing sites works much better.

Interesting theory, i also think that you can better not submit sites to search engines. Just let it happen natural :)

I agree, submit to the directories, but let the search engines find you.

also agreed. Try to get a PR5 pr PR6 site and link to the new sites through that. Google will be sure to find you.

I also prefer to let Google find me rather than submit urls. You can get a shallow indexing very fast using this method (within a few days). I find that Google will index the page that you link to and all the pages that page links to (or at least 30 pages). However, Google will not index the pages that those pages link to right away.
