Been getting a bunch of emails from this guy.
Has anyone bought/sold names through him? Positive feedback?

Cheers

He is a decent fellow but I have not bought any names from him, he was Rick Latonas right hand man.

I've bought a couple names from him in the past year and have no complaints.

When Rick was pricing domains himself , there were decent deals in the newsletter. Now the domains in his newsletter are amazingly overpriced.

Yes I noticed that.
I had a chuckle this morning at cloudcloudcloud.com for $25K.

I asked for a list of 800 cheap names for sale he said he would send to anyone interested. Never heard back from him.

Can't say I have a good experience with the old Latonas either.

I like Toby. He gave me advice a few times on what names to buy and what not to. He was nice to explain to me the reason.

I just bought a few names from his newsletter a few weeks ago. Was a quick and easy transaction.

I'll echo the favorable comments. Over the holidays, some of my transactions with Toby Clements were delayed; but ultimately the deals closed fine. The majority of domains in his newsletter have some value, and some have a lot of it. It is possible to negotiate fair prices. And the newsletter is worth subscribing to simply as an indicator of what asking prices are out there. Of course, it would be difficult to know how those asking prices relate to sales ...

there are at least a handful of sales in dnjournal attributed to Toby...if you have the old emails you could compare for those domains.

I had a domain listed in his newsletter. Easy to work with, nice guy. Last year, he was interviewed at Domain Sherpa which was an interesting read.

Any comment on money being paid after domains sold?

I pushed a domain to the buyer 6 days ago and the buyer acknowledged the push on the same day. Waiting for the payment for past 6 days and when I contacted Toby, he said there had been many deals done and they had to sort other transactions out first.

I sold quite a few domains via Sedo and Sedo paid me more or less on the same day after the domain has been pushed or transferred. I believe Sedo deals with considerably many more transactions and they can send payments very quickly. But there has been so much delays. 6 days and going into 7 days now to get the payment processed. Sent a few emails to Mike who I believe is responsible for payments but no replies.

I haven't sold domains via Toby since Rick left domain business with him. How long do they take to process the payment nowadays?

Remember that Sedo is a huge company with more than 150 employees. I think you have to expect a week or two before payment clears.

Thanks. One to two weeks is a norm then.
