Tocancipa is a municipality in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia. It is located 47 kilometers north of Bogotá, exiting on the North Highway.
Tocancipa is also known as "The Industrial capital of Colombia" due to the large number of companies and high competitiveness.
The second largest bottling plant on the continent [1] is located in Tocancipá, run by Coca Cola Femsa, as well as the PTAP Tibitoc, which provides drinking water to around 4 million Bogota residents [2].
Tocancipá is recognized by the Jaime Duque Park and the Tocancipa racetrack, where different motor racing and motorcycle competitions are held.
In Tocancipá there is also the Tocancipa Industrial Technical Institute [3] that carries out research projects in robotics.
