DomainSponsor has been the overall high-return leader in PPC domain parking for some time. While other PPC players do well in certain areas, the auto-optimization (for keywords) employed by DS has done great things for many domain owners and their portfolios. It will be interesting to see how far their 3.0 service, soon to be released, will raise the performance bar.

DomainSponsor, and their parent, Oversee.net are major sponsors of the industry overall and will be well-represented at both the pending TRAFFIC West in Las Vegas and the Domain Roundtable in Seattle.

any specific requirements for their PPC program?
I have heard very good things about them thus far.

I love DS because I always get most out of my traffic from them.
And they also allow all ccTLD domains to be parked.

Yes. To get into their higher level program (currently 2.0), you need to have 1000 uniques per day. They also want quality traffic that converts well for their primary search partner, Google.

Quality Traffic: Perhaps someone from DS can explain how they evaluate the quality of traffic.

hmm, I am not impressed with them. Every now and then I throw them a couple of thousand domains each month, SEDO and FAB beat them everytime.

Perhaps I have the wrong kind of domains.. and what with all the major problems they have been having as of late just makes me wanna stay away until they can sort out the technical issues.. of course they are great at saying sorry.. ;-)

do they allow you to control the content that shows to the visitors?
say you want to ban a certain ads category, are you allowed?

also if you make $1K/mo at sedo would you make double or more with DS or FAB ?

DS did great for a name which i moved from sedo

it was making only $2.00 a day at SEDO, but surged to $7 > $13 a day at DS

i agree w/namestrands also.......they are good for explaining fluxuations in revenue.

you never know if others are having tech issues!

I have to say most names will do best at DomainSponsor with the few exceptions being:
Adult Traffic
Casino Traffic
Foreign Traffic - (Although I have several IDNs doing very well)

I've learned a few things with some testing:

- some domains do far better at DS than anywhere else.
- international domains do better at sedo
- low volume domains do better at sedo
- some generic typeins do best at fab

However, there seems to be no hard and fast rule about which domains do best where. Everytime I think I find a hard fact, one domain proves me wrong. I highly recommend testing with all of the services.

I know from my experience that international domains do better on DS than SEDO.

DS has ugly landing pages. They seem to be converting a lot of visits from the Search feature. Other than that, the landing page is visually plain.

DS is by far the best paying PPC domain parking company overall. We are eagerly awaiting the release of 3.0

Hopefully DS landing pages will be more visually appealing when they launch DS 3.0 :-D

Gotta agree... DS landing pages could be improved a little..... well at least they look a lot better on the premier service, but they still are a bit plain!

Took a try at DS, very disappointed.
1. My main register is 1and 1.com, since the only forwarding they use is "masked forwarding" DS could not show the stats, for each domain, so they covered them in a bundle under undefined..blaaa
2. Shockingly poor results compared to my prevous SEDO account, even my Domainhop
account was better than DS.
3. As mentioned by others on the thread, the landing page is the most unappealing site on the net, though it needs to be noted that sometimes simple is better, I doubt that applies here.

ps If your wandering what type of domains I entered, they really varied, many different topics.

Tedman...perhaps you didn't let the auto optimization run completely on your domains (this process can take months). Unoptimized you will get an RPM as low a $5-10 on average. Just a thought.

You can use Proredirect.com nameservers and take care of the technical issues. You may need some help from DS tech support to make this work, but it does work well. DS pages are not beautiful, but it will be interesting to see how the 3.0 pages look. DS does provide very good results for most domains that I have tried. You do need to give DS up to 5 or 6 weeks for lower traffic domains to optimize.
