I just got an email from someone asking if this domain was for sale, it comes from a yahoo address so not sure what to make of that. But someone else said in this forum that even big companys use free email addresses to try & get a better price.

Anyways, any suggestions to what I should say?

Thanks.

Don't give them a price right away, ask them what they are willing to offer.

Ever notice how most offers via email start out with, "Hi I've never done this before..." or "What's the process for this..." or "I see you have a name for sale that would br perfect for my daughtter's doll club..."

Might be top-scripts.net who is looking?

Haha.....yeah, I think that they are most definatley trying to get the domain for cheap by playing the "I can't afford much, look at me with my free email address & my unprofessional emails (meaning uncapitlized words & such)" pus the fact that you pointed out sharpboy.

Thanks Doc! Was that meant as a whoesale value or what I should offer it to the end-user for?

Anyways, as for that end-user, here is how the emails have gone so far....it's the first time I've done this so thats why I am posting it to see if I've handled it ok.

Hello,

After considering things, I am willing to accept offers around the $1100 mark.

As for other domains, yes I have many, really depends on what your looking for.

Thanks,

Brett

Hi,

wow, that;s a lot for a domain. I am looking for webmaster related domains.

Thanks,

*****,

Well, depends on how you look at it. Good domains aren't cheap; it's up to the individual to decide if it's worth spending the one-time fee to obtain the domain they genuinely want; they can easily base their business around another domain that can be obtained for the normal registration cost, but the question is, would you be happy with this domain/business name in the long run?

As stated in the last email, I'll accept offers around that mark, so the domain is negotiable. Feel free to chuck out an offer & we can go from there.

As for other webmaster related domains, I currently don't have anymore available sorry.

Regards,

Brett
