Suppose there is a trademark on 'michaelS gloveS' , could you get away with:
michaelglove.com ?

Two generic words, combined to make a brand, each being plural ('s' at the end); could you removes the "S's" and use it as a domain name?

Thanks

well that depends on what you want to use the domain for. If we assume that Michaels Gloves is a glove selling company you could register MichaelGlove and use it to sell oranges and apples. You definetely couldn't use it to sell gloves, nor could you try to sell it to the Michaels Gloves company.

I think in a WIPO case it would be ruled 'confusingly similiar' to the original domain name.

Your use for it would be important too, and would be your only chance to keep the name if such a case was brought.

The plural esses would, indeed, be ignored for purposes of assessing similarity.
