You need to use the EPP transfer system.

You will need to provide the AuthInfo code which you have to obtain (previously) from the current registrar, assuming they can provide one!

There is no need for AuthInfo code ! Just simply but NA and it will work.

I've just tried transferring a .org from dotster to eNom and used NA as the Authorisation code.

The transfer was rejected, alegedly because the domain is locked or not registered for more than 60 days, although neither of these apply.

There is no sign of an authorisation code for the domain at dotster.

Has anyone successfully transferred an org from dotster to enom recently?

What did you do for the auth info code. I will probably also write to dotster to see if they can give me a code for the transfer.

Thanks.

Mr Webname, thanks for confirming that. I shall have to delve further, and definitely write to dotster.

My transfer was made on 22/9/2003 and no problems whatsoever.
Possible problems:-
Within 60 days of registration.
Within 10 days of expiry.
In locked state.
Subject to dispute.
Wrong admin email address.
Registrar foul-up!

A speedy reply to a dotster help request gave me a generic authorisation code to use (although it did say POST transition code!)

The code they gave me didn't work though, so I'm following up my support request.

(in the cases that "NA" does work, I assume it makes a difference if it is "NA", "na", "N/A" etc etc. I tired with the "NA" that stuff and Mr WebName gave.)

None of the exceptions Mr WebName stated apply, unless there is a dispute that I am unaware of. Domain is in "OK" status.

Unless of course it is a registrar foul-up. Probably most likely!
