What is your Opinion on both subject ??

With reading a number of posts discussing the value of Direct Navigation / URL type-in traffic, I believe there are mixed perspectives on the value of URL-direct nav.

I understand direct navigation to be the most cost effective online marketing there is.
What is your perspective regarding the value of direct URl navigation ??

The issue of "Transparency" is definately a hot topic.

If the monetizing groups are being forthright shouldn't they be open to allowing seperate sovereign statcounters imbedded into webpages for full Transparency ?

best,
Bill

Who says they are now forthright?

Not one parking company shows true stats earned. This is the biggest issue that will effect every domainer who parks. With transparency comes honest revenue reporting. When that day happens those who park their names will see the real monies earned and it will benefit all with much higher parking profits.

Thank goodness for Rick making this the theme of Traffic.

Agreed, again, I suggest independent statcounter(s) other than the monetizing groups.

Simply, a verification/clarification of the numbers the monetizing group are stating.

A great path to transparency.

Also, click through rates identified by google / yahoo, they too should be allowing independent statcounters
