Type-In.How?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what's Type-in exactly means.Is it the number of searches by users on SE or is it the number of visits to the domain by just typing it in the address bar.If it is the last ,how can I have a traffic analysis for a parked domain.Do you know of any website that offer such a service for free when you park your domain with them.I hope anyone would have the time to reply.I thank you all in advance.

Type-in means the number of people that type the URL into their browser's address bar. There are several ways to get a traffic analysis for a parked domain. Unfortunately I suspect neither of these methods is what you were hoping for.

The easiest way is to go to Alexa.com and type in your domain name. The lower the ranking, the better. Obviously, this is not a precise way of doing it, but it is nice cuz its so easy.

Another way, which is much more work, is this: sign up for a free account at Mydomain.com. Then move your DNS servers to Mydomain.com. Then use your Mydomain.com account to redirect your visitors to any website of your choosing. At that website, install a free counter to check the traffic. There are numerous free counters on the internet.

There are lots of people who know this stuff much better than me, so perhaps they could suggest a solution more to your liking.
