I recently read a lot threads about the pro´s and con´s of the new sTLD.

What you experienced people think about the possibility that dot. asia would receive some kind of Type In Traffic in the Future? Could there be a possible development or would you suggest thats more a "Project" case?

Perhaps this questions belong to newbie Forums but as here Discussions seem to be on Topic i just Place it here.

Someone got any Idea? TIA :)

For type-in to occur, the extension must be ingrained into the mind of consumers. Awareness about the extension is needed in the first place.
Most people outside domaining circles are pretty much ignorant about the 'contender' extensions. That's not going to change until you see high-profile companies prominently advertising their .asia domains.
These names are only good for SEO purposes.

I have few (700+) .ASIA domains, i few of them gets around 400 Hits a month on each domain. At the end, its all about domain name and not about extension.

Even ICANN has opened its doors for unlimited extensions. :)

In a year or two .ASIA will be as common as .com

You really believe that? In two years I bet there won't even be any of these "free for all" extentions finalized.

So far. The suggestions of people here seem to be very oppositional.

For my part i didnt notice any kind of incoming Traffic on my Portfolio till now. Beside this i think (dont say i know) that i own some good Names with Brandable Capacity, but who knows.

Perhaps we should Relax just a little more time and give this new extension a chance to develop ;)
